Floral birthday card

Image
Today’s card was made with gelatos. I rarely use my gelatos because usually the colors come out pretty subdued when I use water on them. However, this time I think it worked very well with the effect I was trying to achieve.  I wanted the colors from the flowers and leaves to bleed into the negative space and just sort of create a colorful background.  The flowers were hand-drawn with pencil, then with pigma micron pens. And then I just smeared gelatos all over the place and went to work with a wet paintbrush. Just ran it all over blending the colors into each other. And voila!!! ❤️ Let me know if you try something like this in the comments. Have fun creating!

Freebies!!

Hi Everyone! This is my first post on Brush Lettering (and hopefully I will add other art forms that I work on soon). A lot of you have written to me and asked me to write stuff for you, and that makes me so happy! When I started, I never knew my work would ever be what others wanted in their own homes. Thank you for your encouragement. So, today I want to share some freebies. This is just out of my old collections. Feel free to download and use as you wish. :) You could print and frame them, or laminate them and use as place mats. (Really, anything you want) I'm also attaching 'thank you' cards. They're ever so useful. Next time you want to say thank you to someone, just print them out, cut them out, and you're ready to go! Until next time.. Ta-ta!
